Helicopters

Today Tommy and Luke discovered how very cool those helicopter seeds can be. They spent almost an hour this morning flying them over the bridge and into the creek of our local subdivision park. It was so neat to watch the excitement on their faces as each seed whirled down into the creek. As they were scampering around intently trying to find as many seeds as they could they were pretty quiet, except for when Tommy stopped to comment, "This is SO much fun!"

You're right, buddy, it really doesn't get much better than that.

In Her Own Words

Well, I am officially eight months old! Yay!! Being eight months old is very fun. I have mastered the art of crawling and am now working on my speed. Soon I hope to be able to make it from the family room back to my sister's or brothers' bedroom in the time it takes Mommy to run to the bathroom or down to the basement to bring up the laundry.

I have four little teeth now - two up on top and two on the bottom. I like to use these to chew up Cheerios and also to chew on cords and furniture. Daddy and Mommy don't seem to like it when I do this, though.

Lately I've become really good at making Claire, Tommy and Luke laugh. One thing they really think is funny is when I spit out my food at dinnertime. Oatmeal works best for this trick.

I am looking forward to spring. Mommy says when it gets warmer I'll be able to go outside in the backyard and play on my swing. I will be sure to send pictures of this soon!
