Ava's New Tricks

Here's Ava! She's seven months old now and learning all kinds of new tricks. Her current specialty is rolling wherever she wants. This means that she usually ends up trapped in a corner behind some furniture until someone rescues her. She's also working on sitting up by herself and crawling - although she looks a lot like a rabbit hopping forward on all fours where she wants to go. Enjoy the pictures!

I'm stuck!

Claire's Birthday

She's seven!! The requested birthday dinner - fish sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and yummy frosted cookies! Her happy smiles tell the rest of the story...

Plymouth Ice Festival

Every January, Plymouth, Michigan hosts an ice festival. The weather has never been warm enough to take the kids, but this year we enjoyed balmy weather with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees. The kids were amazed at all of the different carvings and were even able to watch some artists working with the ice.

Little geniuses?

I wish I could say that they are learning on the computer.....they're actually playing webkinz!

She's half way there

Ava is six months old....very hard to believe! She is now scooting backwards and beginning to roll everywhere. We continue to be so thankful for her sweet and calm disposition. She is always ready to brighten our day with her beautiful smile.

One of Michigan's Great Attractions

January 19, 2009 - we've finally smartened up to the fact that whenever we bring our family to a museum it's usually cheaper to buy a family membership than it is to pay for each one of us. So, we spent today at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn - and bought a membership! We're looking forward to spending lots of time there this year - especially in the village when the weather warms up. Today we saw lots of antique tractors, trains, airplanes and cars.

Happy Birthday Tommy!

January 5, 2009 - Tommy spent the morning at school with Mommy as his special guest. Daddy took him out to lunch and birthday shopping. For dinner he requested hotdogs, macaroni and cheese and brownies. It's good to be five!

Two and a half

When you have two older siblings, you just can't seem to grow fast enough. Here's Luke on his half-birthday - Dec. 22, 2008. He insisted on wearing the crown for most of the morning. He is King Louie, after all...
